THE FINER
DETAILS
It was love at first sight with Connie. From the moment we were introduced, the whole team was smitten and couldn’t wait to get cracking.
Compassionate Coffee was a brand in its infancy, which put us in the perfect position to work alongside Alexander Devine to expand their look and feel. The goal was to create a real home for Connie and all the great work she’s set to do. The team behind her were passionate, excited and full of ideas, and we couldn’t wait to bring them to life.
CAPTURING THE ESSENCE
OF CONNIE
We started by creating a set of assets that truly felt like Connie. Hand-drawn elements bring originality and a personal touch throughout the site. Rolling landscapes, flowers and coffee mugs all have their place, and each one adds to the character of the brand.
Alongside the illustration, we built a solid colour structure. It echoes the brilliant branding work already in place and also lends itself to coffee, with a modern twist.
A SITE WITH PERSONALITY
(AND PLENTY OF MOVEMENT)
Connie has had quite the life. She’s best known for her past as a star of Call the Midwife, so she deserved an entrance to match. Her new home sees her flying in across the screen, trailing video behind her, and that playful energy carries through the whole site. Fun, moving elements bring the imagery to life at every turn.
The bespoke footer is one of our favourite details. It’s an illustrated city and landscape scene, busy with people and every type of event Connie will cater for, with Connie herself right at the centre. The best way to experience it is to see it for yourself. Have a scroll and have fun.
A PROJECT WE’RE PROUD
TO BE PART OF
The team at Alexander Devine are doing amazing things, and we’re so pleased to have helped give Connie and Compassionate Coffee the home they deserve. Give them a follow to keep up with where she pops up next.
